Being a Celebrant is much more than a mission for me; it is a calling. I am excited to meet couples, hear their stories and share their hopes and dreams for their wedding day. I enjoy helping them affirm their love for each other and find ways of expressing this love through their story, poetry, readings and rituals. I take my responsibility seriously and am touched by the trust couples place in me to craft the perfect ceremony.
I bring rich experiences and an abundance of resources to the ceremony writing creative process. I have served congregations as a Protestant minister. I hold a Ph.D in the traditions, rituals and worship of the major Christian faiths. As adjunct professor at Kean University for eight years, I introduced my students to the history of their own rich culture of music, art and literature. I also taught classes in the major modern faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. I draw from many traditions, literature, your story as a couple, and your expressed desires to work with you to craft a ceremony that is a unique and personal expression of their desire to be joined together.
It will be my joy to serve as your Celebrant.
